Antique one-of-a-king Georgia pottery Chicken Cooker

Item sold

This is a one-of-a-kind folk pottery Chicken cooker. You put the chicken inside the "jug" with basting sauce, cover it and cook it in the oven. Never seen one like this one. Looks like it is from Georgia. It also has a civil war battle scene etched into the unglazed top of the cooker complete with soldiers, confederate flag and cannons. Quite unique and folky. My guess is this piece is from the 1930s to 1950s. Condition is good. It does have a sealed crack on the bottom side. 11 inches long, marked TN.
