Edgefield Pottery South Carolina Dave the Slave Marked Jar

Fat Edgefield South Carolina Pottery Jar. Marked with a horseshoe ringed by 5 gallonage piercings. These are markings known to be used by Dave. 14 1/2 inches tall. Thick brown glaze with some gold highlights. Has one chip on one handle and a small ding on one side. There are several glaze skips on the side that are not chips. Circa 1840s to 1850ss.
